DATA & ANALYSIS

Good work deserves a clear thank-you.

01 / THE RACE

Artificial Analysis

For The Race · Snapshot checked 13 October 2026

Our thanks to the team at Artificial Analysis for doing the work behind its public model evaluations and Intelligence Index. The Race shares a small, dated snapshot of the models, developers and scores listed there, so readers can see how leading systems compare at a particular moment.

We haven’t run these tests or reproduced the underlying data. The results and methodology belong to Artificial Analysis, and its leaderboard can change. Please visit their site for the latest scores and the full story behind them. This acknowledgement doesn’t mean they reviewed or endorse our archive.

02 / THE PEOPLE

Wikipedia

For The People · A place to start learning more

We link each person’s name to Wikipedia because it’s often a helpful first stop when you want to learn more. Wikipedia is written and maintained by volunteers around the world, and we’re grateful for the knowledge they make freely available.

It’s a starting point, not the evidence behind our profiles. Each person’s documented contribution has its own source, linked on their profile.

And to everyone behind the milestones

Every event in the timeline rests on someone’s research, record-keeping or reporting. We link to the source on each entry, so you can follow the trail and read the original work for yourself.
